Admission Information

Admission to undergraduate programs at the University of Delhi is primarily conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), mandated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for all central universities. Prospective students must appear for the CUET UG examination in the relevant subjects as per the eligibility criteria for their chosen courses. Following the CUET results, candidates apply through DU's Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal, where seats are allocated based on CUET scores, program-specific eligibility, and seat availability.

For postgraduate programs, admissions are largely conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG) or, for some specific courses, through university-conducted entrance examinations. Certain professional courses may also involve interviews or practical tests as part of the selection process. International students have a separate admission process managed by the Foreign Students' Registry (FSR) office, requiring submission of applications directly to the university based on their academic qualifications and English proficiency.
