Curriculum

Admission Requirements

  • A first university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) with at least 180 ECTS credits in a relevant field such as medicine, health sciences, social sciences, psychology, nursing, economics, statistics, biology, or a related discipline.
  • Proof of sufficient German language proficiency (e.g., DSH 2, TestDaF 4 in all parts, Goethe-Zertifikat C2, Telc C1 Hochschule).
  • Proof of English language proficiency is often expected for reading academic literature, though the primary language of instruction is German.
  • A strong academic record in previous studies.

Application Process

Applicants with a non-German university degree must apply through uni-assist, an external service that verifies international qualifications. After successful pre-screening by uni-assist, applicants will receive an application number to complete their application via Universität Hamburg's online portal, STiNE. Applicants with a German university degree apply directly through the STiNE portal.

Required documents typically include: certified copies of university degrees and transcripts, proof of German language proficiency, a curriculum vitae (CV), and potentially a letter of motivation or other supporting documents as specified in the program's admission regulations.

Application Fee: No direct application fee to Universität Hamburg. However, uni-assist charges a processing fee (currently €75 for the first application in a semester) for international applicants with non-German degrees.
