The ‘Master of Public Health – Epidemiologie’ program at Universität Bremen is designed to equip students with comprehensive theoretical and practical skills in epidemiological research and public health practice. This interdisciplinary program focuses on understanding the distribution and determinants of health-related states or events in specified populations, and the application of this study to the control of health problems. Graduates are prepared to analyze complex health data, develop evidence-based interventions, and contribute to health policy.

The curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in epidemiological methods, biostatistics, and research design, alongside an understanding of public health systems and health promotion strategies. Students will engage with current challenges in public health, learning to critically evaluate scientific literature, conduct independent research, and communicate findings effectively. The program aims to foster a new generation of public health professionals capable of addressing global health issues from a robust epidemiological perspective.
